Small beans, loud personality
Tiny Giants roast micro-lots from small farms, and every farm has a story worth telling. Their bags didn’t tell any of them.
The problem
On a crowded shelf, the old brown bags with tidy little labels looked like everyone else’s. Customers bought a roast they loved once, then couldn’t find it again.
The process
We ran a two-day brand sprint in the studio with the roasting team and a worrying number of cupping spoons. By the end we had one rule: the bag has to work at 7am, half asleep.
So the roast number went big, the tasting notes went short and every farm got its own tiny giant character.
The result
Here’s what changed on the shelf:
On the bag | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
The roast | Small print | One giant number |
The farm | On the website | Its own character |
Tasting notes | A paragraph | Three words |
Sales grew by forty percent in the first season. Regulars collect the characters, and the empty bags now hold everything from teabags to clothes pegs.
